Yellow Lentils

  • 1 cup Yellow Lentils
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Salt, black pepper (optional spices)
  • 4 cups water
  • Thoroughly rinse the Yellow Lentils.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a pot, add chopped onions, and sauté until onions are golden brown.
  • Add tomato paste, stir, then add the Yellow Lentils to the pot.
  • Add salt, black pepper, and water, stir, and bring to a boil.
  • Once it boils, simmer until the water is absorbed. Then, cover the pot, let it rest for a while, and serve.
