Red Lentils
- 1 cup red lentils
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- Salt, black pepper (optional spices)
- 4 cups water
- Thoroughly rinse the red lentils.

Heat vegetable oil in a pot, add chopped onions, and
sauté until onions are golden brown.

Add tomato paste, stir, then add the red lentils to
the pot.

Add salt, black pepper, and water, stir, and bring to
a boil.

Once it boils, simmer until the water is absorbed.
Then, cover the pot, let it rest for a while, and
serve.
